Delaware Dog Parks

If anyone is looking for a fun safe place to let their dogs run off leash below are a couple parks I’ve found in the area.

My recommendations are:

Levels Road Dog Park – Middletown (About 20 minutes drive)

There is a total of 8 acres fenced grass area.
Park Size: 5 acres (big dogs) and 3 acres (small dogs)
Friendly people and friendly dogs.

Iron Hill Dog Park (About 15 minutes drive)

Friendly people and friendly dogs.  The ground is dirt and fully fenced.  The ground gets muddy fast

Street Lights on Somerton Court

We have a couple street lights in front of 202 and 209 Somerton Court.  The street lights flipped their lid and the lights are on 24 – 7.

I called Delmarva today, they said they would send someone out.
I also checked out the rest of the neighborhood to make sure no one else had the same problem.

With the recent car vandals I wanted to make sure their is plenty of light on the streets.

Snow removal for hire

Is there anyone in our community that have kids that would like to earn money clearing snow off sidewalks and snow at the base of driveways after the plows come through?
I know neighbors have voiced concerns about being blocked in after plows come through our neighborhood. This might be a good opportunity for kids in our neighborhood to make some money and help out our community to make it safe for others that need to use the sidewalks when walking to their the bus for school.

Cars parked on the street during snow removal

During past snow removal this year it has been difficult for the plow trucks to clear all snow off our streets due to cars parked in the streets.
It has been asked that our neighbors move their cars off of the street and into their driveways when they know an impending storm is coming.

Thank you.

Snow Removal

Did anyone else notice the timely snow removal on our streets?
I believe this has a lot to do with Melinda Branch and our other officers.
I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of the neighbors on Somerton Court.

Electronic Red Light Safety Program

All areas are listed below.

All of this content came directly from the Delaware Department of Transportation.

Visit their website for current updates http://www.deldot.gov/information/red_light

Violation Cost: Under the program, the fine for a violation is $112.50 and is sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. Late charges can apply. Effective 1/21/08, the fines are as follows:

* Violation $112.50
* 30-days late: $122.50
* 60 days late: $132.50
* 90 days late: $142.50

Unlike traditional violations cited by a police officer, the camera violations are considered a civil offense not a criminal one. Because of this, the violation and fine will not impact a motorist’s insurance rate or accumulate points on their driving record.

The contractor for the ERLSP is American Traffic Systems (ATS). They will maintain and operate the camera systems as they are placed.

Neighborhood Pond

There’s been foot print sightings on the neighborhood pond.

Please get the word out to your neighbors to speak to the their children about the dangers of a frozen pond.
